Sustainability Statements are required by most Local Planning Authorities for any major new development, be it residential or commercial. They draw together a number of cross-cutting issues including Energy Use and CO2 Emissions, Water Consumption, Flood Risk, Transport and Ecological Protection.
Sustainability for Planning is a specialist Division within CarbonPlan. Our dedicated team of planning experts will help to develop and deliver all of the documents required within a Sustainability Statement. We have developed a streamlined process which enables clients and their representatives to easily assess the financial and technical impact of various CSH, BREEAM, CO2 reduction targets or other requirements which must be met on a proposed development.
Our Planning Team works closely with all other Divisions within CarbonPlan to ensure that every aspect of the strategy that is proposed is technically robust. Among the many projects we have successfully delivered are:
To enable the smooth delivery of these and other projects our team has created a database of all Local Authority Planning Targets across England and Wales and have fostered links with many of the Local Authorities. We continually review regional and local policies to remain up to date with policy developments.
CarbonPlan actively involves clients and their design teams in developing the final strategy so that all involved are aware of the requirements and targets at each stage of the process. The end result is a successful planning application for the developer, first time round, achieved in the most efficient way to add value to the project at this early stage.
